Arabica Coffee was introduced to the Southern Malawi in Thyolo, Mulanje, Zomba and Mangochi regions by missionaries in 1800’s. The coffee is estate grown, along with Tea, Macademia, and Tobacco as other major crops.
Malawi is a cousin of exceptional Kenyan coffee, is smooth and full bodied.
Due to limited production and high demand, very little Malawi coffee reaches the United States, and it demands a premium price. If we have it, you may want to try this and compare it to both Kenyan and Tanzanian coffees.
